With the appellate brief handed in, the next big hurdle was the ORAL ARGUMENT.
Call me the hammer because I nailed mine.
And the soaring ego that followed my instructor's glowing evaluation of my performance had me a little startled. I mean, hell, this didn't even COUNT for anything.
Best I can figure, there are so precious few instances of receiving feedback in law school that when a professor throws me a bone I'm calling it a feast. Passing compliments become absolute truths.

So now the Spring Oral Argument Competition is on its way. Friday night found me, not at home practicing my argument, but at the bar drinking free beer and chatting it up with the moot court chairman, a 2L who will be one of the judges.
